PRESCHOOL MINISTRY

We believe that children are the future of the church. Proverbs 22:6 tells us “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” We believe the importance of providing care and instilling the love of Christ into all of our children from the tiniest baby to our teens.

Our Ministries

Mission Friends:  During the school year for preschool ages 3-5 years old.  The children learn about ways that missionaries share God’s message locally and throughout the world. Mission Friends meets on Wednesday evenings at 6:15 – 7:00 p.m.

Music for 2's and 3's: This is a fun time to begin introducing music as a means of learning about God. It meets during the school year from 5:45 - 6:15 p.m. as part of the Wednesday evening nursery time and is directed by Katy Goodin. Location: Nursery.

Mini Music Makers:  Preschool Choir is offered for ages 4 & 5 during the school year on Wednesday evenings from 5:30 - 6:15 p.m. Through song, playing instrument and art activities, our highest goal is spiritual: to teach children the nature and character of God, Biblical truth, and begin to lay a spiritual foundation that will help lead each one to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. The Mini Music Makers participate in Christmas and Spring programs presented to the church family, along with the 1st - 6th grade choirs. This group is directed by Mrs. Debbie Freeman. Location: 4’s Room (Room 204).

Sunday School:  From the “Cradle Roll” through Kindergarten, preschoolers learn about Jesus from caring Sunday School teachers.  “Hands on” activities and Bible stories introduce children to God’s truths.
