Celebrate Recovery takes place at the MAFAN Building located at 1315 Adams Street.

Celebrate Recovery (CR) is a biblically based recovery program for people with hurts, habits and hang-ups.  By using the “Eight Recovery Principles” outlined through Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount, participants will discover a personal, loving and forgiving Higher Power – Jesus Christ, the one and only true Higher Power.

By working through these biblical principles, participants begin to grow spiritually.  Participants become free from their addictive, compulsive and dysfunctional behaviors.

The door is open for sharing experiences, strengths and hopes with one another.  In addition, participants will learn to accept God’s grace in solving many of life’s problems.

What makes CR unique to any other recovery program?

1.  CR is based on God’s word, the Bible.

2.  CR is forward-looking.  Rather than wallowing in the past or dredging up and   rehearsing painful memories over and over, CR focuses on the future.

3.  CR emphasizes personal responsibility.  Instead of playing the “accuse and   excuse” game of victimization, this program helps people face up to their   own poor choices and deal with what they can do something about.

4.  CR emphasizes spiritual commitment to Jesus Christ.

5.  CR utilizes the biblical truth that we need each other in order to grow   spiritually and emotionally.  It is built around small group interaction and the   fellowship of a caring community.

6.  CR addresses all types of habits, hurts, and hang-ups.

7.  CR is a leadership factory.  CR produces a continuous stream of people   moving into ministry after they’ve found recovery in Christ.
